BayCFO
is an organization devoted solely to CFO's with a focus on San Francisco Bay Area economic
and business environment issues. We are significantly connected into the political as well
as the business spectrum of the Bay and provide a forum for interchange of ideas.
Our purpose is to
provide networking, education, mentoring, discussion and recreation, as well as to make
introductions to leaders in Northern California politics and business.

BayCFO
is the largest private club for CFO's in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Its purpose is to provide a forum for networking, education, mentoring, discussion and recreation
as well as for making introductions to leaders in Northern California politics and business.
Membership currently consists of 500 CFO's including the CFO's of companies such as Clorox,
Credence, 3Com, Genentech, Wind River, Williams Sonoma, and The Oakland
Raiders.
Over 200 of the Bay Area's public company
CFO's are BayCFO members. BayCFO holds 4-5 events each year
and an annual golf event. Our dinner
events are usually held the first Thursday of every third month, or quarterly.
BayCFO is rapidly growing;
adding on average 20-25 new BayCFO members each month.
Membership is by invitation only via nomination by an existing BayCFO member.

BayCFO offers meetings with exciting speakers on
current topics relevant to you as CFO. Recent speakers have included Lou Lavigne, Jr., former and legendary CFO of Genentech, Inc; San
Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom; Oakland Mayor and California Attorney General Jerry Brown;
California GOP Chairman Duf Sundheim; Garage Technology Ventures' Guy Kawasaki; and Silicon
Valley Bank's Performance Specialist, Tom Vertin; expert panelists on current hot
topics - just to name a few. BayCFO events are held at various venues around the San Francisco
Bay Area in order to accommodate all our members: The San Francisco
City Club; Oakland's Washington Plaza Hotel, Kuleto's Trattoria in Burlingame; Michael's Restaurant at Shoreline in Mountain View, The Hotel
Sofitel, Capital Club in San Jose, and the Stanford Park Hotel
in Menlo Park. .

Recently, at the historic Payne Mansion, Steve Workman, CFO of Finisar Corporation spoke on "War Stories and Lessons Learned From a Lifetime of M&A."
BayCFO members and guests who attended our event at the Hotel Sofitel in Redwood Shores heard Lou Lavigne, legendary former CFO of Genentech, and Winner of the 2006 Bay Area CFO of the Year Hall of Fame - Lifetime Achievement Award speak on the Relationship between the CFO and the Board, with particular emphasis on the Audit Committee relationship. This was a unique opportunity to get insights from a Bay Area legend and once again, another BayCFO success! If you missed this one, well, don't let that happen next time! Our BayCFO dinner, held at Michael's Restaurant at Shoreline, in Mountain View was a sell-out! Our dinner speaker was David Chun, CEO of Equilar, Inc., a widely sought -out executive compensation expert who spoke in depth on CFO Compensation. Networking – Meetings,
events and group culture are designed to facilitate interaction. In addition, BayCFO's LinkedIn Group and our meetings can assist with networking, polling and idea exchange. Interaction
is a significant component of all BayCFO meetings with additional facilitation by our LinkedIn Group.
Recent
Bay CFO events have been
held at the Silicon Valley Capital Club, Oakland's Washington Plaza Hotel, and the
Hotel Sofitel in Redwood City. Our speakers have included industry
experts on hot topics relevant to CFO's and political figures such as Lou Lavigne, Jr., Oakland
Mayor Jerry Brown, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, and California
GOP Head Duf Sundheim.

Mentoring– A
primary mission of BayCFO is to engender a culture of approachability, openness and
generosity. We will continue to be thoughtful regarding ways to foster this type of
ethic among our members and sponsors. Our events
are designed to facilitate education on matters of importance or interest.
Recreation – BayCFO
is an organization with a smile. Our intent is to have fun. We pay special attention
to the little things that optimize the enjoyment of our events. We also plan at least
one annual event that includes spouses or guests where we can be free to relax and
enjoy.

Membership in BayCFO
is by invitation only. To be eligible to join an individual must be a Chief Financial
Officer or equivalent in an entity with a Bay Area presence. Candidates
for membership must be sponsored by at least one member and are approved by the BayCFO
Board. The recommended dress code at BayCFO events is business formal.
