Michael's Restaurant at Shoreline, Mountain View
David Chun, CEO, Equilar
on CFO Compensation

Dear BayCFO Member,

How much was your last review? Did you get a market raise? A below-market raise? Or, an average raise?

Have you asked yourself these questions as well: "How much of my total compensation should be in the form of equity?" "How do I know if my bonus is in line with my peers?"

Compensation – it’s a complex and emotional question.  That’s why BayCFO has invited David Chun, CEO of Equilar, to go in depth on CFO compensation on August 21st at Michael's Restaurant at Shoreline, in Mountain View, CA. David will be on hand to discuss with us an extensive new series of trends discovered in a recent case study on CFO salaries which was highlighted in CFO magazine. He will also discuss:

    • Base salary medians for CFOs in the USA and the Bay Area
    • Bonuses - low, medium and high
    • Comparisons of CFO pay to that of the CEO and other executives
    • Stock options, performance shares, and other forms of equity compensation
    • Other hot topics in executive compensation, including severance, and change-in-control agreements, ownership guidelines and internal pay equity
    • Structuring compensation to minimize tax ramifications

We will convene at Michael's Restaurant at Shoreline, in Mountain View, at 6:30 PM for socializing, hors d’oeuvres and hosted cocktails with our program commencing at approximately 7:30.  Coat and tie is recommended but not required.

Michael's Restaurant is located at 2960 N. Shoreline Blvd., Mountain View, CA. Below is a link for directions to, as well as other information about, the hotel:
