Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards

Dear BayCFO Members:

BayCFO is pleased to announce that reservations are now available for our next dinner meeting, on Thursday, May 8, 2008, which will feature Jim McGeever, CFO of NetSuite and recipient of the 2007 Bay Area CFO of the year award.  Jim will review how today’s new critically charged environment has changed the process for taking a company public. Fundamentally important to the functioning of any company, but essential for a public company, he will also discuss, from a CFO’s perspective, the do's and don’ts of implementing an ERP system.  This will include a review of the auction process NetSuite adopted for its IPO as well as lessons he learned from the experience of several direct ERP installations and also from observing NetSuite customers and their efforts.

We will convene at the Waterfront Plaza Hotel in Oakland's Jack London Square at 6:30 PM for socializing, hors d’oeuvres and hosted cocktails with our program commencing at approximately 7:30.  Coat and tie is recommended but not required.

The Waterfront Plaza Hotel is located at 10 Washington Street, Oakland, CA. Below is a link for directions to, as well as other information about, the hotel:
